  • HighLight LED Stroboscopy

The HighLight is a high output LED light source which uses a sensitive contact microphone to extract a patient's fundamental phonation frequency and digitally transform the data into precisely synchronized flashes of light.  An LED module replaces the costly flashing light bulb saving money over the life of ownership.  The module attaches to endoscopes with a universal light cable interface.  It can be used as a routine endoscopic light source and will blend seamlessly into most existing office video systems.  HighLight performs stroboscopy in slow motion (out of phase) and stationary (in phase).  In "auto" the unit automatically calculates the fundamental frequency and synchronizes the light pulses.  If a patient has a specific pathology the "manual" mode can be selected and the HighLight will produce light pulses at a specified frequency.  A spectrogram screen can be displayed to evaluate the harmonic content.  The laryngeal stroboscopy function allows for reimbursement in accordance with CPT code 31579.

Testimonial from Dr. Timothy Thomason, M.D.

I purchased a Jedmed Highlight LED stroboscopy light source about one month ago.  I have been very happy with the device.  I have used it literally every day since the purchase.  The visualization of the mucosal wave during phonation has really helped my evaluation of vocal cord disorders of various types.  Now we've decided to go ahead and purchase another one for our two-doctor general ENT practice--so that we can have it available for both of us during busy clinic days.
