The Berghaus/Schrom Platinum Lid Chain is an implant used to correct lagophthalmus. The implant is in the form of a chain with several movable links. They are sterile packed, and available in six sizes.
A flexible chain implant made of platinum adapts better to the changing radius of the tarsus during movement of the globe.
Platinum has a higher density than gold, so a smaller implant of the same wieght can be utilized.
Available in six sizes from 0.8 gm to 1.8 gm.
