Each Panetti instrument has a suction duct with suction control on the hand piece; Despite being newly developed the tips of the instruments are the tried and tested forms classically used in middle ear dissection. The suction function enables simultaneous suction and dissection. Dissection is more effective when supported by the suction facility. Any otoendoscopic fogging or blood stains around the tip of the endoscope can be easily removed by rinsing with a hydro-saline solution.
